Diesel and gas-fired power plants
Description
A diesel power plant is a stationary or mobile power plant consisting of two main elements: an electric generator and an internal combustion engine running on diesel fuel.
A gas-fired power plant performs multiple functions at the same time, with specified operating parameters: it generates electricity and provides industrial facilities with hot water and steam.
Features of the equipment
Diesel power plants are used:
- in remote settlements and hard-to-reach areas;
- at industrial and agricultural facilities.
In the field of electricity generation, gas power plants are unrivaled when it comes to total operational qualities and consumer characteristics. Most of the modern gas-fired power plants are highly automated, so they require few employees.
